  • SAFETY AND RELEASE FROM LIABILITY: 

    BY ADDING YOUR INITIALS TO THE ITEMS BELOW YOU ARE GIVING UP CERTAIN LEGAL RIGHTS, INCLUDING THE RIGHT TO RECOVER DAMAGES IN CASE OF INJURY, DEATH, OR PROPERTY DAMAGE, ARISING OUT OF YOU or YOUR CHILD’S PRESENCE AND/OR PARTICIPATION IN EQUINE ACTIVITIES AT PAPER BIRCH FARM, INCLUDING INJURY, DEATH, OR PROPERTY DAMAGE ARISING OUT OF THE NEGLIGENCE OF PAPER BIRCH FARM. PLEASE READ THIS AGREEMENT CAREFULLY BEFORE SIGNING IT. YOUR INITIALS AND YOUR SIGNATURE INDICATES YOUR UNDERSTANDING OF EACH PROVISION AND AGREEMENT TO ITS TERMS
  • ENTIRE AGREEMENT: This Agreement contains the entire agreement of the parties with respect to boarding horses, participation in Equine Activities, and safety and liability releases. Any modifications or additions must be in writing and signed by all parties to the Agreement. No oral modifications will be considered part of the Agreement unless reduced to writing and signed by all parties.

    COMPREHENSION: Each party hereby affirms and acknowledges that they have been given the opportunity to obtain independent legal review by an attorney of their choosing if so desired, that they have read this entire Agreement, that it is in plain language, and that they fully understand and appreciate the meaning of each of its terms.

    GOVERNING LAW AND VENUE: This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of Alaska. Venue for resolution of disputes shall be proper in the municipality of Anchorage, Alaska.

  • BARN RULES:

    Please read and review these rules yourself and with any minor visitors or participants in your care.

    1. Be aware and move carefully. 
    Horses can bite, kick, step on, or cause harm to people, themselves, or others by accident, particularly when startled. 

    2. Do not run, yell, or make sudden movements.

    3. Clean up after yourself & do a little extra when you can. 
    Please try to leave the barn, arena, porta-potty, etc. as clean or even cleaner than you found them.

    4. Ask permission before: 
    Petting or feeding horses, climbing the ladder, entering  stalls/paddocks/fields/arenas, or interacting with horses or equipment.

    5. Treat horses and humans with respect and kindness.

    6. Wear a helmet and heeled boots when riding.

    7. Learn all you can & ask questions if you have them.

    8. Read all signs around the barn to learn any additional rules and procedures. *And let us know if you have any questions about these too.


    9. Have fun and enjoy the horses and ponies!
